If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done. God’s ways are as mysterious as the pathway of the wind and as the manner in which a human spirit is infused into the little body of a baby while it is yet in its mother’s womb. Keep on sowing your seed, for you never know which will grow—perhaps it all will (Ecclesiastes 11:4-6, TLB).
A few days ago, I had an interview with Coach Approach Ministries for a podcast that will air in July. The host, Brian, and I covered a lot of ground, including a brief exchange about how it benefits coaches to have “multiple streams of income.” A dear woman I know stands on Ecclesiastes 11:4-6 as a scripture that promotes that concept. I love that scripture myself. I had it printed on the back of my coaching business card for many years.
In addition to coaching, a stream of income for me is writing. I also do public speaking and some other things here and there. Before I understood that sowing a variety of seed is a good thing, I thought I simply lacked focus in my income endeavors.
I know that CCNI consist of members who choose to take no income from coaching at all, while others of you have coaching practices that employ others. CCNI honors you and your unique coach calling, whatever path the Lord has you on. If coaching is a source of income for you, wonderful. If coaching is a gift of ministry that you offer with the sole purpose of comforting and winning souls for Christ, wonderful. Our goal at CCNI is to provide events and other resources that support the work that you do as a Christian coach, whatever your calling.
UPDATE: On May 2, we hosted Tony Stoltzfus and the turnout was outstanding. Ninety-seven CCNI members and guests attended the event. You asked great questions and provided us with a wealth of useful information in the survey after the webinar. We will use that information to plan other events while serving you better in the process. Thank you for showing up in a big way!
If you have noticed on our website, we have a membership drive underway as well as an announcement about a unique coaching boot camp scheduled for October. Please pray about inviting a fellow Christian coach to join CCNI and pray about attending the boot camp in October. Finally, I want to invite you to the prayer for coaches call if you are not already attending.
Until next time, sow seed that honors God, trust Him for the increase, trust His plan for your life.
