The Joy of Sharing Christmas

The “most wonderful time of year” is here!  Celebrating our Savior’s birth in our own hearts, with our families, friends, and with others is a grand gift indeed.

Helping others experience the love and joy of our amazing Counselor, strong God, eternal Father, Prince of Wholeness – our Savior is the greatest gift we can give.  We have many ways to share the gift of Jesus at Christmas!

Children’s programs, caroling, financial gifts, food and clothing donations, Operation Christmas Child, Angel Trees, sharing the Christmas story, personal visits, and the list goes on.

One of my favorite ways to share Jesus at Christmas is the financial gift from my Celebrate Recovery (CR) team to our Celebrate Kids (CK) leaders.  CK is a program at my church that exists to provide parents the ability to attend CR. The couple who runs CK at my church have tremendous hearts for children.

They are foster parents with 2 children of their own and they have adopted 4.  With this, they have 3 teenage girls and 3 little ones! They are so dedicated to providing a good home and a safe place for children to learn and grow at CK.  Every week, for 13 years now, we know they will be there. It is such a joy to bless them with a financial gift at Christmas.

What’s your favorite way to share the love of Jesus at Christmas?

It is my prayer that you, your family, and all whom you encounter will be blessed in unexpected ways during this “most wonderful time of the year.”  Merry Christmas to you and yours.

“For a child has been born—for us!  the gift of a son—for us! He’ll take over the running of the world. His names will be: Amazing Counselor, Strong God, Eternal Father, Prince of Wholeness. His ruling authority will grow, and there will be no limits to the wholeness he brings. He’ll rule from the historic David throne over that promised kingdom. He’ll put that kingdom on a firm footing and keep it going with fair dealing and right living, beginning now and lasting always. The zeal of God-of-the-Angel-Armies will do all this.”

(Isaiah 9:6 (MSG))
